Why FCC?

FCC Teachers

We recruit our teachers primarily from the UK but also from other English speaking countries. We interview our applicants directly. As well as being well qualified we like our teachers to be enthusiastic and genuinely interested in teaching and in living in Korea. Our teachers know from our experience what it is like to live in South Korea. They are willing to adapt to life in Korea and embrace the Korean culture.

Teacher Training

We offer our teachers a place on our practical teaching programme. The programme includes:

  • Ice-breakers/getting to know you activities
  • Lesson Planning for Young Learner Classes
  • Introduction to teaching in Korea
  • Language Acquisition and Young Learners
  • Classroom Management
  • Games, songs and Jazz Chants
  • Using TPR with Young Learners
  • Teaching Phonics
  • Teaching Basic Skills (Reading, writing, listening, speaking)
  • Storytelling and Drama
Study Korean

We encourage our teachers to learn Korean and provide links to a free online language course on our website.

Criminal Checks

If you would like us to complete a criminal check on an applicants we can do so at your request.

Flights

We work with a Korean travel agent in London to ensure that our flight quotes are competitive. You can wire the flight fee directly to the travel agent.

Fees

Our fees are amongst the most competitive around. We also offer a discount to schools and franchises that place more than four teachers in one month.
