Before You Go
- Ideally, you should apply at least two months before you plan to go to Korea. However, last minute applications are accepted
- Prepare the documents required for the Visa Application . Most universities can provided copies of transcripts instantly, others may take up to six weeks
- Get in touch with other foreign teachers at the school and ask about the school, the students, the area etc. FCC can provide general information but talking directly to existing teachers at the school is the best source of direct information
- Check baggage allowances on flights
- Two pronged 220V outlets are most common in Korea. If you intend to bring electrical equipment from home you will need an adapter
- Visit your doctor 6-8 weeks in advance for advice on Vaccinations
- Consider taking out personal Travel Insurance
