Supporting Information
Why do you want to teach overseas?:
I am a degree graduate and qualified EFL teacher. I am an adventurous, fun-loving and social person who loves to interact with all types of different people. I am a natural leader; which will help me lead the students in the class to a great education, no matter the age or skill level. I am constantly seeking to learn new skills. I am motivated to better myself and the people around me; and I hope this experience can help me achieve this.
Why are you a suitable candidate for teaching overseas?:
I spent two years teaching grade 5-7 students in Sunday school; this involved planning lessons and activities teaching religious studies which were appropriate for this age level. I was also a prefect in grade 7 which involved looking after a grade 3 class during breaks. In high school, I tutored other high school students in Mathematics and English; this involved one on one teaching sessions to help the students in areas they were struggling with in the two subjects. I am comfortable with teaching a class of any age. I have also volunteered as community service to local soup kitchens and being a barman/waiter has equipped me with the necessary people skills to interact with all types of people.
