Supporting Information
Why do you want to teach overseas?:
While living and working abroad I met many Korean travellers and became good friends with several. This was my first introduction to their culture, food, lifestyle and beliefs. The more time I spent with my new friends the more my desire became to eventually visit Korea, which I did in may of this year. I found myself giving passively giving English lessons to them and they encouraged me to teach in Korea. At that time I was still travelling and living my life abroad but the idea was there. Now back in my home country I thought about the idea of teaching abroad and decided to enroll in a 120 hour TEFL course. Having completed that and been to Korea in May of 2017 I feel its now time to put what I learned into practise.
Why are you a suitable candidate for teaching overseas?:
I believe I would be suitable as I have the drive, desire and willingness to become a teacher overseas. Although I do not have experience working as a teacher I do have a lot of experience working with the public through retail and also training / mentoring other staff members. There have been many testing times and I have dealt with them in a professional and composed manor. Having lived and working in multiple countries around the world I find I am very adaptable, this experience I feel will help me adjust to life as a teacher overseas quickly.
