Supporting Information
Why do you want to teach overseas?:
I have previous experience with leading classes during Sunday School at my local church and work experience at a nursery in my local area through my secondary school. I also love to travel and learn about different cultures. In the past year I have been to Malta, Germany, Iceland and Poland. I have trips planned to Sweden and Czech Republic before the end of the year. Combining my experience in leading a classroom and a love for travel and culture means that this is the perfect experience for me. I visit countries but feel as though I never have chance to fully immerse myself in a culture for longer periods of time. Living in China for a year but also playing my part to help others - through teaching - has been a dream of mine fore number of years.
Why are you a suitable candidate for teaching overseas?:
I have a very basic understanding of Chinese Mandarin as I studied the language (level one) as one of my minor modules during my masters. As mentioned before I feel like the reasons I would like to have this experience and the reasons I would be a suitable candidate go hand in hand. A passion for travel and culture alongside with past experience in teaching and leading a classroom have aided my suitability for this role
