English Teacher
Dates of employment:

Summary of role:
I am living in Korea, working at an academy in Ulsan. My main job duties are preparing lessons with the aid of a text book, preparing separate activities based on the topics studied and making games for children aged 10-16. I love the challenges of working with so many different levels because it makes everyday new and interesting. I like to help encourage the children to practice the topic of the class by making prompts such as flash cards and other material that can contain pictures or random words, to help the students use the language in a fun way. This gives the students a chance to have fun, but also gives them an opportunity to use vocabulary they've previously learnt in a new situation . I also feel like a speaking game or activity at the end of class helps the kids have fun and also utilize their new skills in a way that feels more relaxed. I am from England but use American English like spelling and expressions when in the classroom and throughout the day when speaking to the children.
