Supporting Information
Why do you want to teach overseas?:
I feel that an understanding of different cultures around the world works to enhance a persons outlook and ability to think empathetically about our shared planet. As a young adult and recent college graduate I am at the perfect point in my life to spend time teaching overseas where I will be able to both share some of my abilities by teaching english and expand my own understanding of a foreign nation. This is a once in a lifetime experience and I look forward to the opportunity to take it.
Why are you a suitable candidate for teaching overseas?:
First and foremost I am a college graduate with a strong background in the english language and has spent a number of years in educational institutions. I have some experience with learning the Spanish language and can apply those lessons to teaching english. I spent time coaching a youth soccer team and learned a great deal about how to manage and actively engage a large group of young children which is an important skill when teaching. Most importantly I am a driven person who accomplishes what they set out to do, there will be difficulties during the experience of teaching overseas but I am someone who learns and adapts quickly to new situations.
