Why do you want to teach overseas?:

I am passionate about the world around me. I have been very fortune to travel to lots of wonderful countries and cultures. I would love the opportunity to become immersed in a new culture, society, and community. I believe this provides a foundation for new experiences which enrich our lives and open our eyes to new people and places.

Working in educational settings has formed the majority of my working life. I have always loved engaging with children, watching them learn, develop and flourish.

I am currently employed in a very different profession. I work for a large corporation in medical technology. I have learnt a lot from this industry and role, but I am incredibly keen to return to working with children. Helping to shape the minds of tomorrow.

Education is where my heart truly lies and I would love the opportunity to teach English as a Second Language in South Korea. It is my role as a teacher to bring out the best in every child. To provide them with a solid foundation in the English Language, which will help them to confidently embrace the opportunities which await them as they grow and develop through their learning journey and beyond.

I am fascinated by Korean culture and would love the opportunity to work in such an innovative, vibrant, dynamic and traditional society. Teaching overseas in South Korea is a journey I am passionate and motivated to follow.

Teaching overseas provides the opportunity to be part of teaching and learning in action. This is a two way process. I believe there is so much I can learn from working in South Korea. Every day provides us with new opportunities to learn from others, grow as individuals and expand our understanding of the world around us.

The UK is a very small island in a very big world. I am excited by the possibility of being able to live, work, listen and learn in a new culture, to meet new people, explore new places and challenge myself in new ways.

Why are you a suitable candidate for teaching overseas?:

Moving overseas and starting a new career is a significant undertaking. It requires a pro active nature, an ability to take on challenges, to be patient and understanding, open-minded, and to be energised and motivated. These are all qualities that I believe I embody.

I am passionate about learning and experiencing more of this wonderful world. I would make the most of every day to provide clear and comprehensive teaching, whilst immersing myself in Korean culture.

I am currently in the very early stages of learning the basics of the Korean language. I think this is important to be able to communicate with native speakers and show respect and consideration for their customs, language and etiquettes.

I have a strong background of working with children in educational settings. I graduated from Oxford Brookes University with an Upper Second-Class honours in Education and Human Development. I then moved on to complete a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) with a focus on Primary and Early Years education, which I passed with a final grade of Outstanding.

I am currently in the process of completing my 120 hour TEFL course, with an additional module focused on teaching young learners.

I believe I am an extremely natural teacher. I am creative, thoughtful, organised, and inclusive. To be part of the process, watching children develop in new skills and subjects, is incredibly rewarding. I am passionate about Early Years education and giving all children the opportunities to learn and develop from day one in their journey.

I have extensive experience of planning and delivering structured and enriching lessons, making learning relevant and relatable. I love to bring learning to life. Utilising hands on activities, resources, stories, games, songs and more to spark the children’s attention and make teaching and learning engaging and exciting. Coupled with formal, comprehensive, and measurable activities to ensure progress in recorded, the children receive a balanced and progressive learning experience.

I believe I am a suitable candidate for teaching overseas. I am open to new challenges and adventures. I have a respectful nature and would love the opportunity to meet new people and experience new places. I have a strong background in education and a comprehensive understanding of working with children and providing effective teaching and learning.

Additional information:

* Every new day provides us with the chance to learn something new. I don’t think learning ever leaves us. Whether this is trying a new recipe, reading a book, having a thoughtful discussion, or learning a new language.

* I bring energy and enthusiasm to everything I do. I make an impact through my creative approach to teaching and my positive attitude. I think respect, empathy, and an open mind are core characteristics for a natural educator. I believe I actively embody all three.

* Throughout my working life I have worked within large and small teams. Working together with colleagues is something I have always enjoyed. Solving challenges together and working towards a unified solution. I also enjoy working independently and focusing my energy on a specific activity or task.

* Communication is key when teaching. Ensuring the children are able to understand and assimilate the subject matter. I believe I have strong communication skills which enable and promote active participation from children in the classroom, as well as open and positive discussion and activities.
