I have a CELTA qualification that I achieved in February of this year.
Were you educated in your native country?: Yes
Education comments:
Job title: Horse Riding Instructor
Employer: Redwings Camp, Girl scouts of Western Pennsylvania
Date of employment: May 2016 to August 2016
Summary of role:
I worked for 3 months in an American summer camp for children ages 7 to 16. My main duties were around teaching riding and looking after the horses but I also had supervision duties for the children in camp. I had a very rewarding experience and learned a lot about children and working within teams to create a good experience for the children.
Job title: Waitress
Employer: The Ivy Collective, Bath
Date of employment: October 2021 to present
Summary of role:
I am currently working at a restaurant called The Ivy in Bath full-time in order to save money. I have been given unofficial authority and responsibility over some of the other employees so have been developing my skills in leadership and delegation.
Why do you want to teach overseas?:
I would like to teach abroad for a number of reasons. Primarily being that I enjoy teaching English and it has always been a dream of mine to move abroad and pursue this as a potential career, but also because I am very much interested in foreign cultures and would be honoured to have an opportunity to live and work in another country.
Why are you a suitable candidate for teaching overseas?:
I do consider myself to be a diligent, hard-working, and respectful individual, but I also very much enjoy teaching and learning from all people from all different backgrounds. I have had opportunities to possibly teach in my native country but I have always found myself preferring the idea of moving and living abroad, in any number of countries, in order to teach.
