Position

Job title: Library team assistant
Employer: Hampshire county council
Date of employment: 16/01/2017 to present
Summary of role:

Working on the help desk, Working alone and being in sole charge of the library, stock checks, planning events and displays.

Supporting Information:

Why do you want to teach overseas?:

I wish to teach overseas as I find it greatly rewarding to help and watch a child’s English skills improve over time. Teaching abroad combines two aspects I’m passionate about; travelling and experiencing another country and culturing from within, and working with children.

Why are you a suitable candidate for teaching overseas?:

I am suitable because I’ve lived abroad before and I enjoy working with children. In my role as an au pair one of my main tasks was to help improve the children’s English though this was in a more informal situation than a classroom. I am looking forward to gaining experience as a teacher using the skills I’ve learned from working abroad to cross through the cultural and language barrier by making lessons fun and relatable.
