Position

Job title: Teacher Tutor
Employer: Diverso English
Date of employment: 10th October 2016 to present
Summary of role:

My current job is a mix of different teaching roles. The main role is private tutoring where I travel to students’ houses and give one to one support in the form of lessons, my own courses, help with homework and preparation for exams. Usually in English but sometimes science, maths or play groups if they are small children.

The second role is in public schools. My company makes contracts with public and private schools and I give lessons usually in the form of my own course or following a certain book. Usually I must plan the whole schedule and course content with activities and grammar each lesson but some courses or schools I am just given a book to follow or I just do the speaking elements for example.

Why do you want to teach overseas?:

Dear Flying Cows English

With a business degree, 6 school years of English teaching experience and a passion for new cultures and languages I would like to apply for a position at your school. I love my job and have been successful so far but I am looking for a more stabe and rewarding job role. Working in Europe has been amazing but it doesn’t offer the financial security I need and workload varies dramatically throughout the year. Some months there is no work and some months you are working 50 hours a week and overloaded. There are many things I love about Korea and I have some Korean friends that are the most fun people I know, I love asian food and how friendly Korean people are. I love sport and I know that my two hobbies of archery and billiards are very popular in Korea. So there are man reasons wh I am eager to obtain a job in this country.

Why are you a suitable candidate for teaching overseas?:

I am a very friendly and bubbly person so I think I can bring a lot to your company and to the country. I have studied a lot if different subjects including Business, Geography, Animal science, Law, Economics, Maths and Finance so I have a lot of knowledge which is very helpful when teaching. Many coursebooks and lessons need the teacher to understand and be able to explain and discuss a lot if different topics not just literature or grammar so I feel this is a huge benefit. I have had six years of teaching experience in some very challenging roles and I have been very successful. I have had great feedback from students who usually love me and think I am fun, friendly and always energetic. I have proven that I can handle dufferent cultures and dufficult languages as I have already been successful with Czech and Italian. I always embrace the culture and language if the city I live in so I think I would be a valuable member of your team.
