My role was to assist in the classroom and complete 10 playground duties a week. We ate with the children and stayed with them after school, sometimes leading classes.
This experience has improved my time management skills as I worked hard at keeping fit and learning Spanish alongside full-time work and university assignments. Furthermore, my patience has improved through spending long hours supervising children with diverse ranges of abilities.
I tutored a 6-year-old privately alongside the TA role, enhancing my techniques of communication. It increased my knowledge on keeping a challenging child engaged for the whole hour.

Why do you want to teach overseas?:

I have always known travelling and teaching where the two things I would do in my life. I am passionate about exploring and the natural world, as well as, exciting children with the joys of learning. Asia is a new adventure I would love to go on.

Why are you a suitable candidate for teaching overseas?:

I am suitable for the teaching position as I have previously worked with children and loved that experience. I gained insight into how to communicate effectively to children who didn’t speak English as their native language and would love to continue this further.
