Supporting Information:

Why do you want to teach overseas?:

I have friends that have taught overseas that have recommended me and I wanted to do my TEFL before I went travelling but now five years later I am in the perfect position to apply. I have really enjoyed my time overseas and I wish to continue my discovery in new places and get involved in the world of teaching.

Why are you a suitable candidate for teaching overseas?:

I’m really enthusiastic to continue my development as a teacher and I have had a lot of experience in meeting and interacting with people from different cultures. I am used to a speaking with people whose first language isn’t English. I would love to work with children/teens or adults and see their improvement in the English language lesson after lesson. I am eager to explore a completely new culture and learn a new language myself.

Additional information:

In Australia I volunteered with the HelpX cultural exchange program in Mullumimby NSW. Here I worked with an Australian family with two children aged 7 and 11.
– I helped to look after the children and join in with family activities.
– We did projects together with the kids including gardening, cooking and art.
