Supporting Information:

Why do you want to teach overseas?:

I have a degree in History from the University of Lancaster, and after finishing my studies I discovered my passion for travelling whilst backpacking in Australia and Asia for two years.
I decided to study the 140 hour TEFL course, combining the two things I enjoy most, Teaching and Travelling. I have always loved working with children and young people as growing up my Mother was a childminder working from my family home and going to girl guides, so i have always been surrounded by children.
I love experiencing different cultures and different countries and cant wait to go back abroad.

Why are you a suitable candidate for teaching overseas?:

I am currently teaching English as a foreign language at Speak Academy, in Palencia, Spain, working with 4-17 year olds.
The schools mission is to make English fun, and this is something I believe in; making English lessons fun makes them more enjoyable and makes English easier to learn.
We often have special weeks such as valentines week where we make special cards or create themed games or roleplays.
Previous to this role I was at a school in China, which unfortunately closed before I could complete my contract there, here I worked with children between the ages of 6-14 years old with various levels of English, teaching from complete beginners to some of the older children preparing for IELTS examinations.
After discovering my passion for teaching abroad I volunteered in a High School in my home town to gain classroom experience and loved every minute of it cementing my love for working in education.

My dream has always been to teach in South Korea after visiting very briefly. The country, the food, the tv shows and culture fascinate me.
I would love the opportunity to use my skills and experience in South Korea.

Additional information:

My teaching style is fun, friendly and active. I love using songs and games to learn English and believe fun makes lessons more memorable and enjoyable.
