Date of employment: 29/01/2019 – Present
Summary of role:

My main role is to provide assistance to both clients and senior solicitors primarily through reviewing documents. I am responsible for understanding the client’s case in terms of the relevant legal issues as well as ensuring I can perform my duties efficiently and in a timely manner. The skills that I have developed in this role have been my attention to detail as well as my ability to handle competing priorities.

Position

Job title: Relationship Manager
Employer: International Construction Warranties
Date of employment: 04/06/2018 – 28/01/2019
Summary of role:

My main duties included liaising with insurance brokers and clients, data entry, processing applications and adhering to regulations. As a relationship manager, I was responsible for my own cases and I had over 100 clients, therefore I had to ensure that I provided high quality service as well as a fast turnaround on quotations. These responsibilities given to me in my short time at this company shows that I was relied upon and trustworthy.

Job title: Customer Service Adviser
Employer: Santander UK
Date of employment: 24/07/2017- 25/05/2018
Summary of role:

My role was to answer calls and provide efficient and helpful service from completing high value transactions with absolute accuracy, to providing financial advice on how customers can make the most of their money. Furthermore, with the banking industry being heavily regulated, I was required to adhere to strict processes regarding security and risk to prevent fraud as well as keeping the company in line with regulators such as the FCA and FSCS.

Position

Job title: Volunteer Client Adviser
Employer: Citizen’s Advice NI
Date of employment: 06/2014- 09/2014
Summary of role:

With my title of ‘Volunteer Client Adviser’ I assisted in all areas of the organisation. This included having face to face interviews with vulnerable clients in order to help them feel at ease and then to help them fill out various forms. After that, I would then have to enter the data into the comprehensive information system. My tenure here helped me to improve on my basic interpersonal and communication skills.

Supporting Information:

Why do you want to teach overseas?:

I want to teach overseas because I want to make a difference in the life of others and I feel that this programme provides a perfect platform for me to achieve this. Teaching overseas would be a life-changing experience and would allow me to see an interesting and diverse multicultural environment. I would cherish the opportunity to teach different groups of motivated students as well as meeting new and exciting people that are also teaching overseas. There are many opportunities here in the UK, however I feel that I am young enough and this is the right time to take a risk and experience a new adventure.

Why are you a suitable candidate for teaching overseas?:

I believe that I am a suitable candidate for teaching overseas because I am friendly, adventurous and love working with kids. Whilst I do not have a lot of experience in teaching, I am keen to learn, grow and become the best teacher that I can be so I can help others become the best that they can be. I have the ability to learn quickly and I am not afraid to be taken out of my comfort zone.

Additional information:

As a core part of my Ulster EDGE Award, I was a Peer Assisted Study Sessions (PASS) Leader in my second year of university which required me to work with a partner and conduct revision classes that we had to design to help our PASS class. This class was a group of first year law students and my task was to help them in some of the more difficult aspects of the course. It was also my responsibility to take direction by deciding on the topic to focus on every week.
