Work Experience

Position

Job title: Engagement & Liaison Officer
Employer: Music College
Date of employment: Jan – Nov 2018
Summary of role:

In this promotions based role I was responsible for direct marketing and all social media
platforms, promoting and gaining student admissions for a music college through original
and engaging content. I was responsible for conducting open days, from email
marketing/telephoning/flyering to promoting the monthly events to planning the day itself,
creating new workshop activities and emphasising a buzzing atmosphere. This role also
involved event planning with student gigs and visiting schools for careers fairs, providing
knowledge and a first point of contact for potential students. I also was responsible for
producing reports with Google Analytics, updating the website with original blog posts
and news to ultimately drive traffic and website engagement.

Position

Job title: Student Advisor
Employer: Private Training Company
Date of employment: June 2016 – Jan 2018
Summary of role:

Duties included acting as mentor as providing guidance for the Training for Success
students, aged 15-22 years old. I launched the C.H.I.L.S (Careers Health Information
Learning Support) programme, which provided support in social issues to the students
alongside their academic learning. Leading and creating content for these weekly
workshops, I coordinated a syllabus, delivered presentations, and enlisted charities and
volunteers to deliver talks e.g. British Red Cross. Working closely with the students,
tutors, managers and parents, I ensured each student’s daily wellbeing was positive and
their college life was as valuable to them as could be.
