Supporting Information:

Why do you want to teach overseas?:

I want to teach overseas because I want to experience life in a country completely different from my own. I am captivated by rich, traditional cultures that other foreign countries holds.

Why are you a suitable candidate for teaching overseas?:

I am a suitable candidate for teaching overseas because I have experience in teaching overseas.
I utilize a communicative approach when teaching second language learners in the classroom. My goal is to improve students’ English skills so they are comfortable with conversing in the English language. I believe teaching should not be one dimensional. My methodology results in a more interactive atmosphere between the students and the teachers in the classroom. I incorporate more kinesthetic activities, along with high use of visual aids which reinforce the auditory lessons. I create lesson plans that are simplistic enough for the lower levels, but present new, challenging, and intriguing information for the more advanced learners. I promote paired group activities where lower level students are joined with higher level students to complete class assignments. This will engage all students to work together towards a common goal, and create student led teaching. I believe that learning should be fun. I incorporate interactive games, puzzles, and songs that will enable students to engross the material fully. I emphasize the importance of English not only within the classroom, but outside the classroom as well.
