Work Experience

Position

Job title: Assistant Teacher
Employer: Mary Burton
Date of employment: 2013
Summary of role:

My primary role was to ensure the kids understood the work and help them if they were struggling.

Another role was to set up the classroom before the students arrived and make sure their water bottles were filled with fresh water and that fruit and snacks were ready for break.

Supporting Information:

Why do you want to teach overseas?:

Coming from a background were cultures are merged together I love learning about different cultures as well as sharing my culture back. I want to help students with English because it was difficult for my mother to learn it, she ended up learning from me as I grow up in England. And in return learning a new language which would help me further connect. I wish to inspire others as the people around me have inspired me. Teaching aboard would be an amazing opportunity to see the world outside of my country.

Why are you a suitable candidate for teaching overseas?:

I am willing to commit to teaching as I wish to help students learn English, with a positive attitude and enthusiasm to inspire them and keep them motivated to learn.
