Work Experience

Position

Job title: Team Leader
Employer: UFA The National Citizenship Service
Date of employment: 23rd July – 16th August.
Summary of role:

Carrying out a government run programme for a group of 16 year olds, teaching a curriculum such as employment, public speaking, and well-being. I also have to deal with pastoral care and monitor them throughout the four week programme to allow them to create a social action project in the local community.

Supporting Information:

Why do you want to teach overseas?:

Because I understand the opportunity that learning English can have for a non-English speaker and would find the role rewarding. I love going to new places and this provides with the opportunity to immerse in new culture and teach something I am passionate about.

Why are you a suitable candidate for teaching overseas?:

Because I’m adaptive, willing to tackle every obstacle face on, excited about the prospects, willing to learn and understand a new culture, positive and determined.
