Why do you want to teach overseas?:

I want to teach overseas because I am excited by the prospect of living in a completely different culture and society. I would love the experience to learn a new language and meet people from different parts of the world. I enjoy working with children and always enjoyed and excelled at English in school, so teaching English overseas feels like the perfect combination of my interests and abilities.

Why are you a suitable candidate for teaching overseas?:

I am comfortable working with children and have enjoyed past experiences of tutoring and volunteering in schools. I am a calm and patient person, which I believe are important qualities in a teacher, but I am also enthusiastic and keen to make lessons as enjoyable and engaging for students as possible. I am organised and always well-prepared before anything I do.
I am also highly adaptable and thrive in new places, even if they are very different to home. I have travelled widely, including Morocco, Thailand and Malaysia and so I am comfortable experiencing different cultures. Therefore I would adapt quickly to life in a new country and make the most of every experience.
