Vaccinations for South Korea are not mandatory making sure you are covered is highly advisable. To make sure you have everything you need before heading off to Korea get in touch with your local health care centre in good time – a couple of months before you fly ideally. If you do not have time to get your vaccinations before you go make sure you get them when you arrive in Korea.

 

Fit for Travel

 

fitfortravel is a public access website provided by the NHS (Scotland). It gives travel health information for people travelling abroad from the UK. For South Korea they recommend the following:

 

 * Confirm primary courses and boosters are up to date as recommended for life in Britain - including for example, vaccines required for occupational risk of exposure, lifestyle risks and underlying medical conditions.

 

* Courses or boosters usually advised:   Hepatitis A.

 

*Other vaccines to consider:   Hepatitis B; Japanese Encephalitis; Rabies; Tetanus; Typhoid.

 

Remember that you should always discuss your particular needs with your own GP or Practice Nurse.
