Why do you want to teach overseas?:

After living in Thailand for 8 months last year, I came to love living in a different culture. I feel teaching abroad would give me the opportunity to connect with a different culture more deeply and understand more about how children throughout the world experience education. I love children and know how important it is that children everywhere have the opportunity to be educated. Teaching abroad would allow me to experience living in a different part of the world whilst still contributing positively to the country I am visiting which I feel is very important when people travel or work overseas. Furthermore, I would love the opportunity of improving on my Thai language skills, or picking up a new language If I was placed in South Korea or China.
I have been considering a career in education and I feel it would provide me a great starting point to enter into the teaching world and learn more about how i can best support children and their learning.

Why are you a suitable candidate for teaching overseas?:

Having had much experience in different cultures, I adapt easily to new environments and therefore I would be committed to finishing my contract wherever I was placed. I am confident, friendly and smiley would make students feel at home by creating a suitable environment for them to improve their knowledge and skills of the English Language. I have a high standard of literacy and motivation. I am educated at a top university in England and have a love for words and writing which have further improved my skills. I have worked with children in a previous job role teaching them dance and I very much enjoyed the opportunity to assist them in their development. My global studies degree and experience of travel throughout the world positions me as someone who would implement culturally relative lessons that took into account the customs and lifestyles of local people which I feel is vital for them to receive the most effective education.

Additional information:

I have some knowledge of Thai language, customs and lifestyle which would make me settle in very easily if I was offered a job in Thailand, but I also feel I have some knowledge of Asian culture so where ever I was offered I would take in my stride and absolutely make the most out of the opportunity.
