Job title: English Teacher and Group Facilitator
Employer: Baker Street International
Date of employment: January 2020 – March 2020 (cut short due to COVID)
Summary of role:

For this job, I was part of a team of six that taught a new group of schoolkids, age 11 to 13, each week at a camp in the Basque country in Northern Spain. The job involved running educational workshops in English and fun activities for the kids, including hikes, treasure hunts and sport.

Employer: CAPS
Date of employment: January 2019 – June 2019
Summary of role:

For this job, I worked in a school in a small village in Catalonia, close to Barcelona. As a language assistant, my job was to assist with English lessons for the primary age kids, generally working with small groups of 5 – 8 kids, helping with reading, listening, writing and speaking. I also helped with some other lessons for practising with their English, and helped the English teachers with their lessons and conversation practise with the kids.

Supporting Information:

Why do you want to teach overseas?:

I am keen to explore the world, and visit and explore different countries and their cultures. This was a big motivation for me in terms of deciding to obtain a TEFL qualification, to have the opportunity to live and work in different countries and explore the world. I have lived in Spain across two seperate jobs, and enjoyed this opportunity greatly, and am now keen to live outside of Europe and get to know Asia by working there.

Why are you a suitable candidate for teaching overseas?:

Because I am a hard worker, a good listener and team member, and I am always keen to learn and improve myself. I will be a valuable member of the team, and will be keen to help others and learn from them to develop my own teaching skills and abilities. I will follow instructions and work hard to plan and deliver lessons to a high standard.
