Why do you want to teach overseas?:

I’m from a multicultural background and have a yearning to educate and immerse myself in other cultures. There’s no better way to do that than to combine it with my love of teaching. Teaching overseas means I get to improve my skills by adapting them to different learners and cultures. My love of languages also draws me to teach overseas, so that I can study a language in it’s home country, rather than solely from a book. Overall, the experience allows me to become a better educator, learner and person.

Why are you a suitable candidate for teaching overseas?:

I’ve been teaching for 3 years and in those years I’ve gained experience in teaching many different nationalities. I grew up in an international city, Dubai, and now live in another international city, London. I’m no stranger to other cultures and experiences.

During my CELTA, I taught students of many nationalities and was able to relate and adapt my teaching in order to assist their learning to the best of my abilities. I’ve had a similar experience through teaching in summer school, but with young learners.

Additionally, I moved from my home to study and work overseas, and I’ve lived and worked overseas in Southern Italy for 3 years. I have the drive, adoration and skills that make me a perfect candidate to teach overseas.
