Supporting Information:

Why do you want to teach overseas?:

I am eager to start a new career within TEFL. I have worked within Film and TV for the last four years, but my main passion has always been Art and travel. I am ready to embrace these passions in life. At 36 I am a bit clearer on my goals in life. I want to bring my passion for life and creative thinking into a classroom. I have always enjoined sharing my art skills in workshops and I think developing language skills for me will bring me the same satisfaction. I love to meet new people from different cultures. To grow to understand subtleties within different cultures even through gesture, to learn and grow with each other.

Why are you a suitable candidate for teaching overseas?:

I am a person who is always open to learning new things, be that cultural differences or within teaching, a way to approach people. I am a confident woman who has already travelled the world widely. This has given me a ease within communication in different countries even when I didn’t know the language. I love the challenge this brings. I am not phased by living in new cultures. I feel this would only bring out the best in my teaching, due to the buzz I would feel in new surroundings. I also am a well educated woman with both a BA and MA degree, I have very strong written and aural skills as a consequence. I feel my ability to adapt quickly to new surroundings be that physical in a new environment or within a new profession such as teaching, I would hit the ground running. The idea of teaching abroad is very exciting, I have always been interested in teaching having spent so long in education myself and grown a great admiration for all teachers.

Additional information:

I hope to complete my TEFL qualification by September 2020.
