Why do you want to teach overseas?:

I have always wanted to travel whilst working and this would be a great opportunity for me to be able to immerse myself in Korean culture whilst working hard alongside. I have been learning Korean for a couple of months and would enjoy the ability to put these new skills to great use whilst experiencing a new countries culture. I have been thinking about doing my Masters degree in education but would like to also get some experience first before I jump into doing another university course. There are already many things I enjoy about Korea as somebody from the UK who is trying to get to know some of the pop culture and ways of living. Whilst learning to read, write and speak Korean, I have been watching many K-Dramas and listening to Korean music, of which I have enjoyed both. As well as this, I love Korean food and would be very excited to experience the delights in its true authenticity. Overall, you could say that I am looking to gain experience in teaching by working hard in a placement so that I can also enjoy the delights of Korea outside of the classroom.

Why are you a suitable candidate for teaching overseas?:

I believe that I am a suitable candidate because I am driven to do well and be successful. I really want to go into teaching and maybe even do a degree in education so this would be a great experience for me. I am constantly trying to learn new things and better myself so that I can have lots of skills and talents to keep my brain active. I have two brothers who are younger than me aged 7 and 10 so I am used to being around children and taking the lead in situations involving homework and studying. I am the kind of person who wants to get people to achieve there full potential and know that to do this you have to put in hard work to be able to see great results, this is the kind of message I would portray through my teaching, to be able to inspire people to learn English as a second language so that they can also travel and immerse themselves in western culture too. I have also done my TEFL course and found it rewarding and helpful. I understand how different techniques can be used and applied in a classroom situation and how to best make use of the teaching time.
