Why do you want to teach overseas?:
I want to experience life in a different country and gain more experience as a teacher. Specifically I would like it to be in a culture and country that’s very different to my own. A friend who has returned from overseas strongly recommended Korea.
Why are you a suitable candidate for teaching overseas?:
I have completed a Post Graduate Masters (PME) in education from Hibernia College. I have thoroughly enjoyed participation in the course and believe that it has equipped me with the knowledge and skills required to be an enthusiastic and capable teacher.
During the course of my studies I worked in a variety of school settings and have experience of teaching at all class levels including in special education. While completing my degree I also subbed in a number of schools with multi-grade classes and in SET.
I am acutely aware of how effective planning and reflective practice can influence and inform pedagogical practice. I am also committed to providing a stimulating learning environment in order to facilitate children to engage with the curriculum and the life of the school
