Work Experience

Position

Job title: Dance Teacher
Employer: Dance City
Date of employment: October 2019 – March 2020
Summary of role:

Throughout my life I have had experience in teaching. From being a dance teaching assistant from the age of 14, to continue to teach at a dance society through uni. I also managed to turn my passion into a Job once I left uni. While my teaching experience is in Dance (the passion that got me started), it introduced me to my passion to teaching. I love seeing students progress and improve, and knowing I had a role in their journey is so nice.

Position

Job title: Senior Primary Laboratory Technician
Employer: Abingdon Health
Date of employment: August 2020 – Present
Summary of role:

My role is supervising and training a team of technicians, in order to produce Lateral Flow diagnostic tests, including the COVID-19 antibody test. I love the training aspect of my role. I love being able to guide new technicians, and teach them how to be the best they can be. This job involves daily planning for laboratory work, meetings with customers and training members of staff. I believe that taking the time to plan effectively, being confident in speaking to and updating customers, and training new team members enthusiastically are all attributes that would make me a great teacher.
