Work Experience

Position

Job title: Customer Assistant
Employer: Lidl Stiftung & Co. KG
Date of employment: 18/09/2017- current
Summary of role:

I provide good customer service: I make sure that the customer leaves the store happy. I do freshness control and make sure the store is in a clean condition. The job is very varied: I could be working the till or working the deliveries or even doing the bakery.

Supporting Information:

Why do you want to teach overseas?:

I have felt a passion for South Korea since I was a teenager, I was introduced to the world of K-Pop and K-dramas and since then I have always wanted to experience Korea personally. Watching variety shows and Korean dramas shows my sense of commitment to analyse and govern the human psychology between various parties; plus understand the cultural differences.
It also has given me the opportunity to practise Korean culture and the language through visual learning; and this aids me in providing a cross cultural understanding to the uneducated so that the world can become a better place.

Why are you a suitable candidate for teaching overseas?:

I know first-hand how it feels to learn a completely new language, as I had moved to the UK when I was a child. I believe my personal experience gives me advantage in understanding the pressure and the difficulties that can be faced when learning English.
I have been given a lot of opportunities to teach different kinds of people, and I never pass up the chance, because it gives me a sense of fulfilment and I enjoy working with people. It makes me incredibly happy when my students are proud of themselves when they pronounce something correctly or they used a new word appropriately. My student’s successes make me very proud and gives me a sense of accomplishment because I am providing them a way to shape their future.

Additional information:

I had volunteered in Romania as a Teacher; I had to create lesson plans and base it on a curriculum that a Licensed teacher provided.
