Supporting Information:

Why do you want to teach overseas?:

I believe teaching abroad will allow me to broaden my horizon and allow me to develop as a person. Teaching overseas will give me the opportunity to learn about and experience a new culture, which in turn will teach me about integrating into a new society. Teaching in South Korea comes with its own benefits depending on the school, such as accommodation, which makes moving to a new country a more comfortable experience. I believe this opportunity will allow me to grow as a person, improve communication and social skills and make me into a more independent self-sufficient individual.

Why are you a suitable candidate for teaching overseas?:

I am an enthusiastic, reliable and friendly individual with an interest in teaching and development within education. I have had previous experience mentoring students and teaching English to non-native speakers. This experience sparked my interest in teaching and wanting to teach overseas. I am hard-working, approachable with a caring personality and enjoys helping others. I have previously worked in high-intensity and time-sensitive roles which has allowed me to become a person that is flexible and can work well under pressure. The prospect of being to help others to learn English as a language and being able to be a part of their development as a person excites me.

Additional information:

I have previously undertaken First Aid training and have taught First Aid to 17-18 year old students. I have also been a part of the Air Cadets which has shown me the importance of engaging students throughout the learning process.
Currently undertaking the TEFL 169 hour course, which is to be completed soon.
