Why do you want to teach overseas?:

I have wanted to live and work overseas since I got my first job out of university but found it difficult to do so in my role at the time. I worked in IT for several years and the idea of retraining to teach in any capacity was at the back of my mind. The parts of my previous roles I enjoyed the most were the times I spent teaching and learning from the colleagues I worked with. Outside of that, before university I spent a few years teaching Taekwondo which was an incredibly rewarding time in my life.

While I lived in London I got the opportunity to meet people from all around the world and, through those relationships, saw first hand how beneficial learning a secondary language can be to someone’s opportunities in life. To be a part of that learning process for someone is incredibly rewarding and is why I’ve chosen to pursue a career in teaching overseas.

Why are you a suitable candidate for teaching overseas?:

I love to travel and my favourite parts of life have been meeting new people from all around the world and sharing each others culture and language (and food!). I’m open minded and sensitive to other cultures and am always looking to learn new things. I’m fully committed to a career in teaching overseas.
