Supporting Information:

Why do you want to teach overseas?:

I knew I wanted to teach English but wanted to live in a country that was a good fit for me. Korea is a great balance between traditional and modern settings. I have heard wonderful things from other teachers who have worked there. It looks to be a good place for long term opportunities for these reasons. I want to get some real world experience immersed in a different culture and learn more about the geopolitics/cultural norms of Korea and East Asia at large, so it tied into my personal interests and future career goals.

Why are you a suitable candidate for teaching overseas?:

I believe I have the right qualifications needed for this role. I understand that international schools will be very different compared to schools that I have grown up around whether that may be the curriculum, location or the quality of school as all schools will not function the same. I am adjustable to change, culture and am able to show I am comfortable with carrying out activities differently and am eager to a new lifestyle.
