Supporting Information:

Why do you want to teach overseas?:

I love the idea of teaching to help bridge the gap between cultures. I love mentoring and helping students find their passions and reach their goals. I have a lot of admiration and respect for any who attempt to learn another language, and would love to help make a contribution to achieving such a lofty goal. I also want to learn for myself. Integrating myself into another culture will broaden my perspective of the world and allow myself to grow and apply my knowledge through a wide range of situations in the future.

Why are you a suitable candidate for teaching overseas?:

I am a highly adaptable and motivated individual that values the goals and feelings of others. I love to incorporate others’ perspectives to come up with new and unique solutions to issues. I don’t see differences in cultures as being better or worse than one another, just different with a chance to gain insight on why things are the way they are. I think that open mindedness combined with my sense of duty to help others makes me a great candidate to take on a journey of learning English together with foreign students.
