Work Experience

Position

Job title: Analyst
Employer: National Crime Agency (U.K government)
Date of employment: March 2021-Present
Summary of role:

This role requires the identification of intelligence gaps, patterns, relationships, trends, threats and opportunities. Intelligence is collected through multiple sources including stakeholders from the operational and industry communities. Complex analysis is conducted on emerging technological and social changes which impact the Investigatory Powers Act (2016) capabilities (Communications Data, Targeted Interception and Targeted Equipment Interference) in order to ensure law enforcement and the UK Intelligence Community can continue to meet operational outcomes. I am also responsible for producing environmental assessments on new technologies, highlighting their relevance to the Investigatory Powers Act (2016), and regularly updating past assessments undertaken by the team to ensure any and all products remain up-to-date for our stakeholders. The assessments I have produced provide assistance to internal and external stakeholders by facilitating operational activity, including collection, investigation and analysis of digital material. I also lead horizon scanning meetings by briefing a number of different community stakeholders on new technological findings, attend technology conferences, and present my learning to other colleagues. I also look to develop my understanding of internet intelligence and investigation techniques, which often aid in my contextual knowledge when writing assessments.

Supporting Information:

Why do you want to teach overseas?:

I would like to teach overseas to positively influence and proactively impact the learning of English in young students abroad. It is my goal for the students to be left with positive and happy memories of learning English. I would like to oversee and facilitate the development of students comprehension and fluency with the English language. I would like to enable the next generation of students the opportunity to using the English language for personal and professional purposes. It would also be a unique and developmental experience for me to teach abroad; transferring my current work and coaching experience and skills into the classroom.

Why are you a suitable candidate for teaching overseas?:

I believe I am suitable candidate for teaching abroad for a variety of reasons both personal and professional. From a personal standpoint, I have always loved travelling and exploring new countries and cities and immersing myself in the local culture. In preparation for holidays or time spent abroad, I endeavor to learn the local language out of respect and also to try and connect with the local communities. Travelling and exploring what the world has to offer is something that I hold close to my heart and to my mind. I believe that from a professional perspective, I could offer a great deal when teaching abroad. I hold myself to incredibly high standards in regards to work ethic, punctuality and presentation and engagement. In my current role, I present, lead briefings and create workshops regularly, this is something that I am familiar and fluent with. I always seek to help others and help them develop, whilst also seeking feedback so I can develop myself. I am adept at living overseas and is something that I enjoy and has been a long standing goal to do so.
