Why do you want to teach overseas?:

I would like to teach overseas as I enjoy travelling and experiencing new cultures. I spent some time in Thailand a few years ago and I fell in love with the country and the people I met along the way. I am also looking to succeed in a new career which allows me this freedom. I am enjoying completing my TEFL qualification including the 2-day classroom course where I met like-minded people, and some got great feedback for my newly learnt teaching skills. I believe that moving to and living in a new country would be a life changing experience and a fantastic opportunity. I want to help children and adults learn the English language in a fun, memorable and supportive way which will allow them the opportunity to succeed in anything they want to achieve in the future.

Why are you a suitable candidate for teaching overseas?:

I am confident, reliable and have the freedom to teach overseas. I feel ready to embrace a new lifestyle and I’m passionate about taking on a new role and immersing myself into a new culture. Although I have no current experience of teaching children, I have two wonderful nephews who I enjoy spending time with. A few years ago, I volunteered at their school’s sports day and had so much fun. This experience made me realise that I would enjoy working with children. I currently work for the covid vaccination programme in the UK and have been vaccinating children aged 5 years and over. I have been complemented on how engaging and good I am with the children by reassuring them when having the vaccination. I have a lot of experience in supporting groups of people within my role as a mental health nurse and feel the skills I have obtained from this role would make me a perfect candidate for teaching overseas.

Additional information:

I would like to work in South Korea as the country is so beautiful and I would like to learn more about the culture and the people who live there. I would prefer to work in Seoul or Busan however I am open to location.
