Summary of role:

While working as a tutor, I worked full time at a local Brighton school, leading 1:1 or 1:2 tutoring sessions for students in need of catching up with English skills. I would frequently focus on the teaching of punctuation and grammar, as well as spelling checks or reading comprehension. I worked primarily with years 4 and 6.

Supporting Information:

Why do you want to teach overseas?:

To expand my range of teaching experience. In ways such as teaching different age groups, focusing on one subject, and teaching in different environments. As well as for the experience of working abroad.

Why are you a suitable candidate for teaching overseas?:

I am a qualified teacher with prior experience of living overseas.
Also, I am myself an eager language learner, having studied Japanese and Chinese at University, I am currently teaching myself Korean through the use of mobile apps and workbooks, though not as effective as a proper teacher would be. Experiencing the country would be an excellent way to improve my language skills as well.
