Work Experience

Position

Job title: Senior Specialist, Virtual Care
Employer: Planned Parenthood Federation of America
Date of employment: Started: February 2021
Summary of role:

For the past year and a half, I have been serving as the Senior Specialist of Virtual Care at the Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA). During my time here, I have provided support to affiliates launching new telehealth initiatives, operational guidance to the final affiliate to launch their telehealth program, and PM support for our ten-week consulting engagement with an external firm during which the national office, affiliate leadership, and partner organizations collaboratively developed PPFA’s long-term strategic roadmap for telehealth. To simplify tracking volume trends for all 49 Planned Parenthood affiliates, I built brand new telehealth volume dashboards via Google Data Studio with data visualizations, volume trendlines, and visit type breakdowns as well as with CY and FY snapshots.

Position

Job title: Program Manager
Employer: NYU School of Medicine
Date of employment: 09/2017 until 02-2021
Summary of role:

I managed the daily operational and technical support for a telehealth program that facilitated remote clinical care to patients with diabetes. Based out of New York’s flagship Bellevue Hospital, this program provided care to patients all across the NYC Health + Hospitals system: from clinics in the Bronx to Lower Manhattan to East New York. As PM, I led the program’s expansion to and implementation at two additional clinical sites, trained and assisted over 40 clinical staff members ranging from MAs to RNs to providers.

Supporting Information:

Why do you want to teach overseas?:

I love to travel and I enjoy spending time with young children, so I would love to be able to work with young children in another country. As an Asian-American, I have always wanted to spend an extended period of timing living in East Asia. Teaching while doing so would make it much more enjoyable and meaningful.

Why are you a suitable candidate for teaching overseas?:

I am well suited to a more dynamic career type like teaching that involves active engagement, interpersonal skills and relations, and movement, and that has a clear structure to it. I enjoy exploring new places and meeting new people, so I feel well equipped to fly across the globe without worry.

Additional information:

I am unsure if this information is pertinent, but I thought I would share my SAT scores from 2010: 800 reading, 800 writing, 760 math.
