Why do you want to teach overseas?:
I wish to teach overseas because I enjoy working with children and would greatly value the opportunity to teach younger people. As a recent anthropology graduate, I have a keen interest in cultures and peoples different to my own and would love to have an opportunity to teach children about my language and culture, whilst simultaneously being completely immersed in a different culture myself and take part in a positive cultural exchange. As well as having a chance to pass my knowledge to students, I believe I will also have the opportunity to learn from students and make a real positive impact on the next generation.
Why are you a suitable candidate for teaching overseas?:
I believe I am a suitable candidate to teach overseas because I am a hardworking and diligent individual with a passion for knowledge and education. As someone who was born and raised in Northern Ireland, I have Irish and British dual citizenship and have extensive knowledge and experiences in both the Irish and British cultures which I am very proud of and willing to share with anyone who shows interest. Having attended university in England and worked part time alongside carrying out my studies, I have previous experience in living and working far away from my home and family.
Additionally, I was the Vice President of my university’s UNIBOOB team which serve as student ambassadors for the CoppaFeel! charity which aims to promote and fundraise for breast cancer awareness. In my role as Vice President in helping organise workshops and social events to share more information about breast cancer to fellow students, I have some experience in researching and preparing information that will be used for educational purposes and sharing this information with those who are interested in hearing it.
