Why do you want to teach overseas?:

My ultimate goal in life has always been to be someone who makes a positive impact on the lives of others. Initially, I thought I would make the biggest impact on people as a Scientist in Research & Development. So, I immediately went into the Biotechnology industry after receiving my M.S. from Northwestern University. After working two years in industry, I have come to realize that most companies do not care to make an impact on patients, but rather on their own wallets. At my core, I am a people driven person, I always want the best for others. Therefore, the environment I have been working in becomes less of a fit for me everyday. After spending some time considering my options, I felt that returning to an academic environment would be best suited for me. I have always enjoyed mentoring and tutoring throughout my college years, so I believe that teaching is the best next step for me. Not only will I be doing something I know I am good at and enjoy, but I will also be able to directly, positively impact students.

Why are you a suitable candidate for teaching overseas?:

While I do believe holding a Master’s degree establishes me as a viable candidate, I have also taken all the necessary steps to assure that I will be a vital resource to any institution that decides to hire me by completing my Level 5 TEFL certification.
Based on my personality, I believe my ambitious nature, dedication to creating positive learning environments, and desire to see others excel and achieve their goals are what make me a suitable candidate.
