Supporting Information:

Why do you want to teach overseas?:

During the past 3 years I have had a fascination with Korean culture and media- from the history of the nation to the popular show, Gag Concert. I would love to be able to experience the differences in culture within Korea and England and learn more through such experiences. Furthermore, having family abroad has encouraged me to have a more global outlook, therefore I have considered Korea as an option for a permanent home for myself upon gaining employment in the future. Being a teacher has also been a lifelong goal for me, and to be able to live as a teacher abroad is a fantastic opportunity that I could not bare to resist.

Why are you a suitable candidate for teaching overseas?:

I have a large range of experience within the classroom and a passion for teaching, which I’m sure would increase my worth as a teacher, both at home and abroad. Unlike many others, the prospect of living and working abroad isn’t scary for me, as I have known many people in my life who have moved overseas to pursue their own dreams! I have also experienced working with international students as a Language Support Buddy, helping them with their growth as an English speaker, and therefore believe I have the experience and ability to teach English as a second language. I’m incredibly excited about the opportunity to work as a teacher overseas and due to this I will be sure to make the most of the experience!
