Supporting Information:

Why do you want to teach overseas?:

I am currently working in a primary school in Hong Kong, delivering small group lessons unassisted to students aged between 5 and 11 years old. I thoroughly enjoy this job, being able to impart knowledge of my native tongue through delivering and planning my own interactive lessons. It is an incredibly rewarding experience which has given me a sense of purpose in my work, and I am able to leave school each day proud of what I have accomplished.

Why are you a suitable candidate for teaching overseas?:

Teaching in Hong Kong has given the skills I think would prove useful to Flying Cows and the institutions you work with. I have gained skills in classroom management and immense hands-on teaching experience as I am the only teacher present during my lessons. I also have honed my organisation and time management skills, balancing a busy class timetable with extra-curricular activities and community projects which have seen me deliver storytelling sessions to kindergarten students and workshops adult English learners. Living and working in Hong Kong during this turbulent time in its history has also grounded me and shown that I can keep a cool head in challenging situations.
