Work Experience

Position

Job title: Electronics Intern
Employer: EnOcean GmbH
Date of employment: 01.08.18 – 01.08.19
Summary of role:

12-month industrial placement as an electronics intern at EnOcean GmbH based in Munich, Germany. I designed and implemented automated black box test set ups for energy harvesting sensors. My designs automated essential product tests that were previously performed manually, saving labour time and allowing engineers to focus on other tasks.

Position

Job title: Summer Intern
Employer: 3D Printing Leeds
Date of employment: June – September 2017
Summary of role:

Unpaid summer internship: My job was to design and implement parts for a new high-performance 3D printer capable of printing with cutting edge materials. Over the course of this internship I developed my skills in SolidWorks and mechanical design, as well as becoming more familiar with the concepts in 3D printing.

Supporting Information:

Why do you want to teach overseas?:

I have always enjoyed travelling and visiting new places. I have already worked abroad for a year and am eager to do so again. I am interested in teaching English because it gives me the opportunity to experience other cultures whilst teaching students about my own. This is a unique opportunity and I am excited to see more of the world.

Why are you a suitable candidate for teaching overseas?:

I am a suitable candidate because I am patient, careful and a talented ex-plainer. My experience in engineering has often necessitated explaining complex problems and concepts to a layperson and this skill will pass well into teaching. I am a fast and eager learner and bring energy and enthusiasm to any position I am given.
